'77 Oldsmobile Toronado

 

The '77 Toronado was the seventh year of the second generation Toronado.

The Toronado had be redesigned for '71 and resembled the Previous generation Eldorado especially in profile.

The '77 continued to have color coordinated vertical rub strips in back with horizontal taillights.

Toronados Broughams had opera windows. XS and XSR has Wrap Around Back Window.

Identifying a '77 Toronado

 

Front:

Eggcrate slot Grill 4 rows high in nose cap with slots in bumper .
Horizontal grill bars.
Color Coordinated rubber rubstrip on bumper.
Headlights remained rectangular units paired chrome bezels.
Parking lamps below headlights Oldsmobile in block lettering on hood drivers side.
Bumper is on Hydraulic rams. Toronado T crest hood ornament. Toronado T crest marker lights on fender edges

 



Back:

No louvers in decklid.
Horizontal taillights and backup lights in chrome / silver band.
Upper Brake lights below back window.
Rear bumper mounted on hydraulic rams.
Color coordinated bumper rub strips with reflectors in center.
Trunk lock cover with Toronado T crest
Toronado script on right side of decklid




Side:

color coordinated side moldings available.
1/4 vinyl top is available
All Broughams have opera windows
XS and XSR have wrap around rear window





Interior:

Dash same as '74.
All Toronados will have pillowed seats with striped pattern if cloth seats.
All models Toronados have color coordinated steering wheels and color coordinated pedal pads
Dash pod facia and steering wheel spokes have wood grain pattern
Air bags available.
