1/2 price sale at the junkyard today. found a good 69 toro to scrap parts from. got a right inner fender and battery tray. the one on my 66 is eaten below the battery. I got spring exhaust bolts and good plastics for the frame rails. I went to take the raiator but it was MUCH longer than the rad from my 66 toro, which is about 29 1/2 inches from tank to tank. I thought it was pure luck that the next car over was a 78 buick with a new 4 core radiator at 29 1/2 inches so i took it home. I bet it bolts right in...NOT!! I know i just opened a can of worms but making it fit is half, ok a quarter the fun. i will detail some differences between toronado radiators in a later post. I also found some 69 disc brakes for the front. WOOHOO!! it was a good day.
