Is the front horizontal shock the same as the rear ones?

Is the front horizontal shock the same as the rear ones?
Well, pretty much the topic, is the horizontal shock absorber in the front-end the same as the two in the rear? Or is there a different model for that?

I think you referring to the vertical front and rear shocks and they are different the horizontal shock are only used in front of the rear axle. Then I believe there are 2 styles of vertical rear shock on the 66, an (early) and a (late) the later style continued through 70

Naw, I was just looking through my service manual, there's a horizontal shock behind the steering mechanisms according to the book. MOunted right underneath the relay rod, near the PItman arm. Book calls it a "Steering linkage Shock absorber"

No.
But still pretty easy to get. I found mine on eBay. Used on Cadillacs and a few other cars...
