1968 Toro 455 questions

Ok so...
I inherited a 1950 Ford F1 custom form an old friend . It`s been modified with a 1970 Nova front clip and a 350/350 power train.
I`ve got nothing against Chevy motors i`m just sick of them in hot rods.
Seeing as a cannot use a ford motor due to the Chev clip I'm stuck with GM.
A couple of years ago I nabbed a 455 out of a 68 Toro from a wrecking yard in Monterey CA that turns over like butter, I was going to use this in my 442 but I`ve since found a 67 442 block so this weekend I pulled it out and removed the pan to find out it`s beautiful inside, very visible hone marks on shinny cylinder walls and a Nodular crank :D .
I`ll be doing a comp test this week and if that turns out ok I`ll move forward .
I`ll be using an Edlebrock intake and will be replacing all the consumables inc timing chain.
My questions are , what`s a W34 cam like and where can I get correct 68 Toro engine paint from and will latter model Olds 350 brackets work? Dunno what year but the motor is gold.
Thanks,
Jab.

Bill Hirsch sells the correct engine enamel but he's very expensive.

Here's the correct color that mortals can afford.

Do a search on this forum for W34. There are a couple threads relating to this option and ID, etc. There are a couple W34 experts here but they don't post all the time. You may have to find the thread and PM them.

Generally BOP Olds small and big block mounts, etc all bolt up, if you have room for
the manifolds and higher decks. The accessories will require at least longer belts; those
tying to both the block and the head will be different. Olds likes to make as many parts
interchangeable as possible. Bruce Roe

Found some Bling in the attic. I`ll be priming it and comp testing it on Monday.

Hey. I was saving up for a new high-end bicycle helmet. The one I wanted was expensive, and progress was slow. I tried some online games to maybe get there faster, but I had a horrible streak. Lost about 50 bucks and felt like a fool. I was so frustrated. I found spinmama casino mentioned in a forum and decided to make one last, desperate attempt. I put in a bit more than I planned. I was losing, then I upped my risk on one game and hit a massive jackpot. The relief was insane. It was enough to buy the helmet.
