Generation One muffler

The original muffler of my 1968 Toronado, finally after 47 years, graciously ended its faithful service.
A new Magnaflow (part # 12266), along with a chome exhaust tip, cost me about $289 at a local independent muffler shop.
I am very happy because I was expecting that either it would cost $1000, or that there would be absolutely nothing compatible.
