Greetings

I have a 68 Toro and there is a 76 Eldorado in the local boneyard. I would like to pull the tranny for a spare (looks good).

Are there any compatibility issues with the later tranny (except 2.73 final ratio)?

None to speak of. It will bolt right in.

While you are at it check to see if the Eldo has rear disks. You can, with a bit of effort (soon to be documented by me when I get around to it), install them on the Toro.

You should also grab the Hydroboost Power Brake Booster (notable by the lack of the large vacuum diaphragm and the hoses running to the Power Steering Pump.

Even if you do not use either of these we should preserve them for those that want them. You can sell them here, if there are no takers I would eventually buy both.
