I have a 78 XS I need to sell very soon or it will have to be crushed for scrap. It runs and I drive it almost daily but it definitely needs a full restoration. It's mileage is approximately 89k. The odometer stopped moving last summer but it only gets driven less than 10 miles on any day and not at all in the freezing weather from October through the winter until April. There are many particulars about it that can be listed or shown on site. The price is $1500 and this is based upon what the metal company will give me for it plus the relative value of what few small parts I can take from it before I give it to them to have it crushed and melted down for recycling. That is not my preferred end for this car. I much prefer that it be taken by someone who will restore it as one of only 2,400+ XS Toronados made in 1978. It's well worth restoring. Clear Colorado Title but it's in Hermitage, PA (16148). Good Tires. Wrap Around Rear Glass is undamaged. Have 6 good wheel rims. Motor and Transmission run strong and shift smooth. Take the glass off before you send it away. All the glass. I had a hard time getting a front windshield for my 78 Eldorado. That wrap around back glass could be worth big bucks for the right person.

What ever happens, don't let that 403 engine go to the crusher. Save it with its
special HEI electronic module. If it doesn't end in your car, I'd pay shipping
for it and the trans. Bruce Roe

But the engine and trans probably account for half the value the scrapper is willing to pay him.

Then I'll just have to pay more. Anyway they only weigh 900 lb of a
4600 lb car. I used to throw some junker engine in the trunk. Bruce Roe

That's a little better then - only about 20% of the total weight.

Any bets that this car has already been sent to recycle? OP was over a year ago...
