Drivers side cv axle

Can someone please help me with the drivers side cv axle?
I have a later production 66, (38000 and change). It currently has the cv axle with the brass colored collar and somewhat inverted boot on the differential end. This is slightly leaking between the collar and the steel. I purchased a new axle listed for a 66 from parts geek. It does not have the brass colored collar. It does look like a match for the passenger side which is very different. I've seen some debate on this site about this part. Can someone help me out I'm brand new here and this car is a daily driver. Thank you
