1966 Interior Code Color/Style Question

Recently, I contacted SMS to begin talking to them about availability of interior materials. The interior code on my car is 053-D. I've attached a couple of picures below. The existing combination is blue vinyl (outsides) with a lighter blue velour type material on the insets.

SMS is telling me this is not an original interior. I've inspected the original seats closely (seams, etc), and they sure look factory OEM to me. The other blue I have seen, most recently on a car at the ROA/TOA meet in Sacramento, CA in June - had a dark blue interior as well, with blue vinyl on the edges, with a fine mesh-like dark blue inset, which didnt pop like the light blue velour does.

I really like the light blue velour look much better. I was looking for thoughts on whether my interior is OEM, and, if the interior is what I have matches 053-D, since ultimately I want to remain factory correct.

"Velour" was not a GM interior fabric until mid 1970s...so yours is not original. 053 was originally a navy blue interior... vinyl and cloth.
