67 Toro Rear Window Drain Outlet Caps

Postby Slang3400 » Tue Dec 31, 2019 1:16 pm

Hello, I've searched this site but have found nothing about any rubber outlet caps for the rear window drain tubes. I'm familiar with the 4548417 rubber outlet caps that fit into a 1" hole for the trunk wells. But the rear window drain holes are 1.5" dia. Was there a different drain cap for the 1.5" holes? Or did the factory just leave open without a cap? Thanks

Not sure of what you’re talking about.

Are you referring to the drain tubes for the rear vent behind the back glass? If so Fusick has the tubes. There were no “caps” for them as that would defeat the purpose. The tubes drain the vent thru the trunk and out thru the sides of the trunk floor.

Yes, are there any caps or covers that allow water out but keep other stuff out like mice, etc? I find it odd that GM provided rubber outlet caps 4548417 for the trunk wells but not for the larger drain outlet holes for the rear window plenum.

I made my own drain tubes from radiator hoses. Fusick sells the hard tubes but they're expensive. I don't think the drain tubes had plugs or one way valves.
