Y’all are trying way too hard. There is a simple solution.

Take a proper length of electrical tape and place it on the dash directly over the warning lamp.

Problem solved!

I think I may have found what was causing the low coolant light to come on intermittently. It's a connection that was sitting on top of a bracket loose and seem to be causing the light to come on or off depending on how it was sitting. I'll take a picture and post it later. There are a couple wires from it grounded to spots. My guess it one of them was supposed to go to the missing sensor.

I'd be ok with just covering up the light but it's the damn buzzer that goes along with it that's annoying. Cant complain though. I dug this car out of my friends grandfather's barn after he passed away. His grandfather had around 20+ odd ball cars. This one was left because no one wanted to dig it out. The toronado had 4 flat tires and dead battery and was buried by some old farm equipment and stuff from when someones house was remodled. I aired up the tires, bought a new battery, put some fresh gas in it and drove it out of there. Cant complain since i got the car for $500.

$500! You got a bargain. That car looks really nice.

Now buy some new tires because those aren't going to be too safe. They're liable to blow at any time. You can find the date code on the sidewall, usually in an oval shaped stamping.

If you want to go with the thin whitewall, try to find Hancook Optimo 235/75 R15. They're great tires, reasonably priced and have a good looking 1 inch whitewall.

They had an auction withing the family and I just happened to get one of the cars that was left over that didnt get bid on at all

That's pretty cool. I'm not a fan of 4 door cars but that Ford looks like it's probably a low mileage original paint and all.

You got the best deal, I'd imagine.

Well I finally found the damn wire, after a few months of not having the light come on. For the last week it came on and stayed on. I went through tracing wires and found a wire that was attempted to be spliced into a ground with one of those cheap no cut splicers ya get at the auto parts store. Since there is no sensor on my car and a plug there I ended up putting a end on the wire and grounding it out to the frame. I'll probably order up a sensor sometime this week and hooking it back up correctly.

That's cool. Tracing electrical problems is a pain in the neck. Glad it turned out to be simple.
