OK, got it. Your Cord friend is handy to have around. I used the Speedi Boot for the outer boot.

Inner CV Boot Replacement

Postby Willysnut1959 » Fri Mar 15, 2019 5:14 pm

I received the inner CV replacement boots from Applied GMC (part # GM1-1.003.12) and found they were not correct for my car. I understand that the early '66 cars has a round drive flange and the later '66 models use a triangular drive flange. Have to send them back and continue to search for ones that will fit.

Damn! Remind me again where these came from.

Which flange does yours have? When you say early '66, do you have a serial number cutoff?

Otto,
I bought them from Applied GMC. My inner CV joint is round and the CV boots from Applied GMS were triangular. I do not know the cutoff date or SN. The guy at Constant Velocity was the one that told me there were two types on '66 cars and that they could not find replacement boots for the round (early) type.

Thanks. I'm going to have to take a look at mine. I have no idea what shape mine are.
