1966 Pitman Arm question.... Will 67 onward work/fit

I've owned my 66 TOronado since 1984 and even back then nobody had a listing for a 1966 Pitman arm (the arm on the pwr steering box). They listed 67 onward, but no 66. IS a 1966 pitman arm different? I would imagine its NOT as far as I know a 67 gear box will interchange with a 66 so at least the splined shaft where the pitman arm attaches must be the same diameter/taper. THAT said unless they changed the LENGTH of the pitman arm I cannot see then what or WHY there isnt a 1966 Pitman arm listed any place. Has anyone that owns a 1966 gotten a pitman arm? If so fromwhat year or what part ## is it???? Mine is a little loose at this point and would like to change it!
