Has anyone come up with a retro to get rid of the despicable bowden cable and plastic
actuator farce. The actuators warp and break and we are going to eventually run out of
steering columns to rob. A 68 69 column is not a suitable fix they don't look original
and keyed steering column. I have had to presidental engineer mine and it is finnicky as
all get out. Only likes to work in a specific tilt position. Somebody with a good one send
it to that place the does the 3d scanning and reproduction and have it made in metal.
If somebody has retroed a standard cluster and got it to work let me know. Eventually
no one will have turn signals!!!

Re: The dreaded bowden cable
I've been watching this also! Hopefully SOMEBODY will jump in with some groundbreaking information. These things have been complained about for as long as I can remember without any real solution. So, I'm not hopeful anything new will come about.

Turn signal actuator micro switch attached to cable with turn signal switch at the other end.
