disk brake conversion

Postby Hwy78Cruiser » Tue Jan 09, 2024 8:05 am

I am 98% decided on a disk brake conversion for my '66 Toro (Otto I know your opinion on this, I live in the Rockies and I will be descending long steep mountain passes).

My question: any recommendations for manufacturers/suppliers of a conversion kit, and more so, ANY NIGHTMARE STORIES? ... I want to avoid one of those. I will do my best to get U.S. made.

Thanks in advance!

I think the easiest way to do this is to source a complete brake system from a 1967 Toronado. This will be an essentially bolt-on system and be sure to work properly without having to re-invent the wheel.

You'll have to get a set of 1967 wheels as well because '66 rims won't work with '67 spindles/discs.

Contact John Dorcy to see if he has the parts you need.
