Trans Fluid Leak

Postby olskool » Wed Oct 18, 2023 1:30 pm

We went through and mechanically restored a 1966 Toronado and had the engine rebuilt, transmission rebuild along with replacing and rebuilding suspension, steering, etc. We have been plagued with a trans fluid leak. Not sure why but it's coming from appears to be a hole right below is the transmission fill dipstick. See picture. Any thoughts on this. Thanks.

It's hard to tell anything from the picture. When you say "hole" do you mean you think it's cracked or something? How serious is the leak?

Believe it or not, JB Weld actually does what they claim. My brother sealed a broken engine block on his Honda motorcycle over 10 years ago and it doesn't leak a drop.
