Will an Intake Manifold from a 455 fit the 425 from a Toronado? I know the 425 and the 455 are the same but wondering if the Toronado's were different then the regular 425, as far as bracket and things go, I would like to keep all the brackets original. Thanks

I'm not an expert on the matter, but I know the Toronado's had a Low-provile intake manifold. And sticking an intake from a '455 that is NOT from a Toronado would likely create hood-clearance issues. But, if you have a Toronado 455, then I don't know about the brackets :P But it should clear the hood.

Yes the Toro intake manifold is a low-rise unit and you can certainly use a 455 manifold But you will have hood clearance problems.
The Toro intake is a low-rise BUT Olds engineers designed it with a larger cross sectional area to make up the performance difference.
IIRC you can read about it in the tech archives here on this site.
