I took my 425 out of a 66 Toronado to the machine shop to get it cleaned up and checked out. The machinest who had been a machinest for about 15 years could only recall one other forged steel crank that he has worked on. How rare are they and were they used in both 66 and 67 toronados? Any other 425's from that year use them?

Not rare at all; all '65 - '67 425's and 400's had them as well as some 455's (but it's harder to find a 455).
