1970 gas tank

Postby jer8716 » Sat Apr 29, 2017 9:55 pm

Hi all I find myself 8n need of a new gas tank. My car sat in a field since 1991 and due to that the gas tank is more like Swiss cheese then is is a gas tank. I have thought about putting a fuel cell in the trunk but I don't really want to lose the space or smell gas.

I have had RENU work over some tanks for me; good results so far from the
week long process, not cheap. good luck, Bruce Roe

you could also try to find a gas tank from a 1969 toronado. not sure about earlier models but 1969 will also fit.

not very helpful but i hope it will make the search a bit easier. 1970 models are hard to find...ask me how i know

theres also John Dorcey in Las Vegas. you can find him on facebook. hes got a junkyard full of 1st gen toronados. i bet he can help

Hi, I might have one if you're interested. Pick up only though in Michigan.

PM me if you get the message.

Thanks

Call John Dorcey. He has 50 66-70 parts cars in Vegas. His information is listed on this forum in the parts sources section under salvage parts.

Another option is gastankdepot. They offer replacement gas tanks.

I don't think they offer one for a Toronado, though.
