The manual says push in and turn counterclockwise... no movement at all.
This is on a 1966 Toronado.
Thanks in advance

Tell us how you did it. Is there really a secret or was yours just corroded or something? I have a '66 and don't plan on removing the wheel but you never know.

I was reluctant to apply much force, the manual says push in and turn, I saw no movement when I pushed in. Once I accepted the possibility of breaking the emblem and having slim chance of a replacement being available, it was easy. Turns out all I needed to do was gently pry it straight out with plastic pry bar.

Which way do you rotate it after pushing in? Did you pry it out after pushing in and turning or did you just pry it out without the push and turn method?

I am getting ready to try this on my steering wheel. I will let you know if it was push, twist and pry or just pry only.

OK, I did read the manual (the link was posted here, thanks!) and it does indicate that the "tilt and travel" steering wheel emblem should be push, twist and pry; however, mine was definitely pry only. It was very easy to pry off. It has four bent tabs that hold it on. You can see them in the picture.
