Well not sure is this Jerry Russo? if not, You'll have to forgive me as I am not sure of everyone's handle here on the forum, so you may have refresh may memory bring me up to speed one.

Years Owned: 1968 Toronado, silver owned since Dec1986/Jan 1987 to present
1968 W-34 Toronado (totaled 3/9/03), blue, owned since August 1994
1968 W-34 Torondo, gold, loaded with many rare options, owned since 2003
1968 W-34 Toronado, red, bought in Nov/Dec of 2005, Was Lot#609 for Barrett-Jackson auction, March of 2005 . Firdst two "owners", was GM employees. I'm still in contact with Bob B. (OLds Zone Rep for North CArolina, retired 1992).


I aslos have a white 1985 Buick Riveria, that I would like to trade for another Toronado, or an old Ford pick-up truck.

Hi Jerry, yes it does, looking at my xl file its Trans serial number is 2522 yes? Though i Just notice that VIN is incomplete 18xxx I don't have the last 3 digits, then of course have you acquired another 69?

While we're at it i would love to get the VIN and trans tag numbers for the three 68 as well. In addition the body plate numbers too. I am working diligently to get 68 file up to date i have most of the VIN's but few trans tag numbers.

Hi i am not sure about my car just a base model with some tweaks its sounds great i am just the caretaker of this wondwerful care thanks for your help
i took out the starter this week to a real re-builder no junk in my car

I, too had my starter rebuilt by a local auto electric rebuilder. These days it's a much better idea to do so if possible. So many parts are junk right out of the box today that if you can have an original part or a good quality replacement part from the 70s rebuilt to a high standard, you will be much better off in the long run.

Yes, your code indicates base model 94 rather than DeLuxe model 96. 87 just means two door hardtop.
