A/C only blowing out of lower openings

Postby rollerball » Thu Jul 25, 2013 6:12 am

Hi,

i have a little problem with my 70 Toronado: The A/C and heater works fine but no matter what i do it only blows out of the lower center opening heating/cooling my feet.

Does anybody have an idea?

Regards
Thomas

Have you tried poking with a coat hanger and see if there is a rodents nest blocking your comfort?

I had a similar problem once with a 76 Seville. The actuators in the dash work by vacuum. Took me a long, long time to figure everything out. You might have to check the actuators, and also check if you do get vacuum to them.

Now that you mention it, my 77 cutlass only blew onto the floor until I found a vac line that wasnt hooked up. Then I could use the defrost.

do you hear any hissing from behind the dash when you move the HV AC controls?
