I left the hose in and the engine running (heater on high) until it was clear. Then I added a chemical flush. I will drive it a few days until my new upper and lower hoses come in. Then brand new coolant.
I also ordered from rockauto the temp sender for use with a temp gauge. Hope fully that gets my temp gauge back to functional.
The inside of the radiator looked really good. I was pleasantly surprised.
