Retainer clips wanted

Postby rollerball » Mon Apr 08, 2013 8:31 am

Hi,

the hubcap retainer clips on my 70 Toro are rusted and broken. Where can i get replacements? If that is not possible how can i make them stick firmly to my wheels?

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards
Thomas

I think you're stuck. if i remember they are part of the outer pressed lip. Maybe if you can weld very well you could try to bend some tabs to match and tack them in? Easiest I think is finding replacement caps.

The suggestion of replacements is correct. I've been told it is almost impossible to replace the clips with the correct thin springy metal.
