Sorry Tkmdog to hear about your dead electronic dash display; they can burn out from time to time, and usually it's just one connection inside that, in the right hands, can be repaired and the dash will light up anew.
Your best bet is to pull another one from an 86-87 in a parts yard, or another option: there's a tremendous fellow I've dealt with personally, Mr. Whizard Technical Services out of Winnipeg, up here in Canada. He promises to fix it for under $200, all shipping included. I've met him and he's the real deal: knowledge and integrity. His link is:
