Many people contact the TOA asking for the value of their car.
It is not possible for us to determine the value of a car sight-unseen. You can research pricing on your model in the classics section on the free car value site http://www.nada.com or others. You should look at current and completed sales on eBay.
TOA Members can look at our historical car price database - log in to the member's section.
Information for placing a classified ad in our newsletter and on our website can be found on this link: http://www.toronado.org/Forms/classifiedsmain.htm. Please note we require a description, a location and a price for Cars For Sale ads.
You can also join this forum - it is free. You can post a description of the car to the list.
Many people use Craig's List to sell their car; people from all over the country looking for a certain car search it. It is free to post a listing, and I suggest you take a couple of good digital photos for the ad and to reply to inquiries. Ebay is also an option.
Finally, you can contact your local Oldsmobile club chapter. Most have newsletters where ads can be placed. Information on club chapters can be found at http://www.oldsclub.org/chapters.htm.

Re: Determining car sale value
Hi, I am a new memeber and I would like to buy Toronado but I have a question. How is that that some models cost for example $5k and some $50k (without pimping it of course)?
To want to, is to be able to.

Re: Determining car sale value
It is all about the condition. These are expensive to restore, so anything that does not have to be done or that has been done counts.
And, as a general rule, "pimping" by adding non-original details generally devalues the car - the ones that go for the most $$$ are the closest to original.
