You should not combine vinegar (an acid) with baking soda (which is a base) as they will neutralize each other.

Yeah I had to double check that since it didn’t make much sense, but apparently it does work when you combine all three together. I just went the safe route and used salt and vinegar together.
Baking soda and vinegar combined is good for a science project volcano, but definitely not for a sealed fuel tank. Apparently, combining both can cause an explosion!
