Did you call John Dorcey? Can't yours be straightened?

I emailed John and he said he sold the only nice one he had recently.

I have dealt with John after your recommendation a couple of months ago and was very satisfied. He is a good source for parts as you had suggested.

Mine has some pitting and I guess is can be rechromed, then you need to repaint as well. Does this whole panel come out just by removing the tail light housing fasteners and the license plate lights? I don't see anything coming into the trunk other than that.

I couldn't remember if I'd told you about him or not. I've never taken my panel off so I'm not sure how it's attached. I think it is just pressed in there with seam sealer and spot welded. It's sort of a rickety design in my opinion. Since Dorcey had to remove one to sell, he can probably give you pointers on its removal.

I replaced one of the taillight assemblies but those bolts don't hold the valance panel in place.
