66-67. Manual Choke wanted. TRADE?

Postby Checkov » Wed Dec 03, 2014 5:58 pm

I always liked manual chokes and my auto choke isn't doing that well ( I suspect a previous owner had modified the carb.). I remember reading some of them came with manuals and wondered if anyone had one they didn't need ( cable and all).

I have a parts car so willing to trade equal value item.

My '73 has a cable just hooked up where the divorced choke coil would go.

You can buy a cable at any parts store.

I don't think any came with manual chokes.

As BC noted, any parts supply house will have a manual choke setup. Basically all they are is a lawn mower control cable.

I'd advise fixing the stock choke properly. I have never had a problem with automatic chokes on any of my cars and they're all 30-60 years old.
