1966 Toro shocks? Help/Advice/Wisdom needed

I recently bought a very well documented 66 Toro from the original's owners son, the original owner passed away in 2011, and his sons decided to liquidate the assets. This car has all the documentation you could ask for, except the build sheet. I have no idea where that would be.

Anyways this car spent it's entire life on a dairy farm in Kansas(where I live), upon refurbishing the wheels, I noticed the shocks and couldn't help but wonder if they were stock, in my research I found that the rear had two sets of shocks, well I'll include a photo of them from my car, I don't know if they were apart of a package, option, or an add-on?

Basically Where can I look to find my build sheet, and please educate me about the shocks?

I would appreciate any and all knowledge.

Never have seen a build sheet for a Toronado--and I've disassembled plenty of them. In other cars they are usually under the back seat or above the gas tank.

The main shocks are not stock--the horizontal pair I don't think are original either.

Shocks are still easy to get. Even the horizontal ones

I just replaced all 6(!) shocks on my 66 Toronado.

One of the three pairs were very small and difficult to find. I eventually found a perfect match from a Volkswagon! Autozone were able to get them.

Happy shock repors.

What's the brand and part number on those VW shocks?

Try autozone part number

82139, VW shock. $21 bucks ;)

Was that the rear horizontal shock that is a VW match?

Found this cross reference for the horizontal shocks.

Most of the time the 82139 number comes up as a Triumph Spitfire shock.

I will have to double check the compressed and extended lengths to see if they match the OE shocks

Fusick sells the correct shocks for the Toronado. You can get the vertical ones easily, but the smaller horizontals are harder to find. Here's the ones that I replaced using the ones obtained from Fusick.
