I intend to use KYB GasAdjust shocks on the front and Gabriel 82040 on the rear.

Have any of you used this combination or should I stick to the Gabriels on the front as well? KYB doesn't make any for the rear.

I finally replaced all 6 shocks on my '66. The rear horizontal shocks were shot and would not extend on their own. One had to be cut off because the through bolt had rusted to the bushing sleeve.

Anyway, for anybody who is wondering about the efficacy of the Gabrial 82139 shocks in place of the $75 each Fusick ones, they work just fine for the horizontal replacements. I got them from Rock Auto and they were about 1/4 the price of Fusick's.

I bought all the shocks from Rock Auto.

What a difference in handling with 6 new shocks and a new steering stabilizer. KYB on front and Gabrials on the rear.
