More feedback is slowly rolling in from my questions.

* A 69 has a Comfortron system. We had that in our 66 and the "comfort" was unpredictably hit or miss by the time the car was six years old. Can a Comfortron car be hacked to manual status or does enough Comfortron expertise remain to straighten one out?

* A 69 has a leaky heater core. As I recall, the heater core is very buried behind a ton of other stuff. I'd think that would indicate a substantial reduction in purchase price.

* A couple of them are claiming transmission leaks from "loose bolts." I am wary of "loose bolt" excuses. Does this class of problem ring a bell for anyone?

* While driving one of them down the road, it "moves to the side" (without turning the wheel). Hitting the brakes makes it worse. This sounds to me like a ball joint/tie-rod end/bushing-replacement problem that can be overcome without an extraordinary amount of difficulty. Am I overlooking something?

There is also the standard assortment of "the A/C needs gas" and "the radio fuse is blown," but those don't worry me ... too much.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks!
