engine No
I read elsewhere that the engine No. could be found on the rear side of the passenger head. R.....T stands for a Toro 425?
I searched my engine and found N624491T on the driver side head. I know that the two heads can get mixed up during overhauling but what is that No standing for ?
Thx
Harald

Hey Harald,
That´s your engine block unit number. It´s correct for a 1966 425 CID Toro-engine!
Take a closer look to this older topic:

Beste Grüße aus Bayern und viel Erfolg weiterhin mit Deinem tollen Projekt. Ich bin jetzt mit meiner Inneneinrichtung beschäftigt und hoffe bis Ende 2013 mein Toro auf die Straße zu bringen.
Gruß
Roland

Some pics of the ongoing work on the Toronado. So far I started the lead work, repaired the Dash / front windshield frame and some other parts..

I am SO jealous.
Someday maybe I will have the time and space to do such a complete job on my car.
I am impressed. Please continue with the good pictures.
Thanks,
John

Re: new '66 Toronado owner from Germany
just a brief update:
Toronado is in paint preparation. After the lead work a buddy of mine is working on perfect straight sheetmetal. We hope to get it painted bey the end of this year.
In the meantime I started on the engine. I had luck and it really was "overhauled": new timing chain, new valve train, new main bearings, a bored / honed block with new pistons... So my work will be only cosmetical...
