My first Toro

Postby cigarguy » Sun Jul 22, 2012 9:41 pm

Hi All,

Just bought my first Toro. It's a 68. The car was in very good condition when I bought it, but needed front end work (shocks, tie rods, ball joints, axels). My mechanic did all the hard work, now I get to have fun fixing the rest. He used a front end kit and replaced a few parts that didn't need to be, so I'll put 'em up for sale or swap in another post.

I planned on reselling, but the more I look at it, the more I think it might stay in my garage. The interior is in great shape too. It's loaded with options, but the center console and bucket seats are by far the coolest the 1st owner opted for. All the power options work but the rear windows. The 8-track and fuel gauge are out of commission too. Looks like it was well cared for and garaged. Just a few small spots of surface rust. Nothing that can't be sanded off.

Glad to be a member on this forum.
