Just found this place

Postby Mikel » Tue Aug 11, 2009 9:05 am

Hello all,
After months of painfully waiting for the Toronado list to come back, I was finally told about this site by Jane and wasted no time joining.

In the last few months I've done a little work to my '66 - I rebuilt the TH425 (and it actually works, whoohoo!!) and dropped in a rebuilt 425 that I got from a gentleman in MA (see the tech section for my oil pressure issues). I still need to get the switch pitch/kickdown switch adjusted, but I can now drive the car with some degree of confidance! Here is a picture from the last drive - It's amazing how photogenic these cars are!

Anyway, it's nice to be back!

Wow! I missed the board! I didnt know what was wrong, until I saw Jane's email this morning.

Really glad to see its up and running.

Thanks to all those folks whose efforts and hard work make the association and these message boards possible!

I think I successfully added a picture of my 66 as I bought it in Oklahoma City.

Presently, its on blocks and being dissassembled. I have some rust issues to fix, but luckily found a parts car I can salvage floor pan patches, etc from.

I'm traveling, but I'll send a picture of its current state when I return home.

BTW, Mikel, what's the paint code on your car? Mine is the Royal Mist "EE" , and yours looks similar.

regards

Alex,
I'll check the paint code this weekend.

Jane,
Has there been an effort to notify the members of the Toronado list about this board? I only found about it a few days ago and I was thrilled to join. I'm sure most other members of the list would react similarly.

Thanks,
Mikel

Mikel, I'm sure you realize now that we were formulating the email that went out to the membership yesterday. We also announced the forum in the last DRIVER. I can only reach the members of the TOA - there were subscribers on the T-net that are not TOA club members.

Mike Frederick as the owner of the T-nET email list would be the only person that could email all subscribers to it.

Jane

I forgot they are completely separate entities. Anyway, I'm very glad this forum exists - Thank you.
