69 W34

Hello,
I'm Orphé from Quebec, Canada. Last year I bought my dream car: a matching number 69 Toronado with 74k miles but I just started working on it. The car spent the last decades in a barn and except for the front end that is damaged and some surface rust, the frame, the floors and the engine are in a very good shape. The rims still have their bias-ply tires!
The car comes with a lot of cool options like the famous W34 high performance package, bucket seat & console, floor shifter, front disc brakes, HD cooling and 8-track player. The only options I miss are AC (canadian car...), rear defogger and power lock.
Engine serial no: 39M617439
Transmission serial no: 69-OM-2366 & 39M617439
VIN no: 394879M617439
I'm planning to work on the following in the next months in order to pass the inspection, body work will comes after:
- Replace all filters and oils
- Rebuild the power booster, brake calipers, master cylinder
- Rebuild the carburator
- Repair the radiator
- Replace the timing sprockets and chain (I purchased a Cloyes True Roller)
- Wrap the wire harness with Tesa tape
And I'll buy the Kanter steering kit when my budget will permit it.
I got the factory service manual, the Fisher manual, etc., and have a lot of knowledge since fix my cars for the last 20 years so I'll do as much as possible myself but I'll need advises from you guys for sure!
Cheers
Orphé
