I thought she would go for more than $500. You're all the experts here, what kind of damage am I looking at. I've never really done this before.

You're looking at a lot of money to restore this car if that is your aim. Lots of rust, sounds like missing parts, etc. My suggestion is part it out and get your money back out of it and find one that is in better shape.

If you decide to repair it, you'll need a parts car. I think that roof looks rusted out. Best of luck.

For $500 you probably can't go wrong. You'll get close to that from a scrap yard.

If you're into building hotrods rather that authenticity, then rod it out and do whatever you want with the interior and exterior.

If it were me, I'd salvage the drive train and stainless trim and sell the parts to a restorer. The quarter panels look good, as do the fenders, deck lid, and hood.

Seat frames and tracks, wheels, torsion bars, maybe even the rear springs, etc. are probably all salvageable.
