Hello from Michigan :)

Postby torotoro92 » Fri Aug 15, 2014 7:00 am

Hello :D

I happily own a 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado. It is the last year they were made. The car is so nice to drive to me and a nice looking car. There are not many of these around but a few pop up, especially around the time of the Dream Cruise.

My car is not in bad shape but needs a little touch up here and there to be 100%. I'm looking to get the wheels polished soon and refresh the paintjob.

Everything works and runs.

I am new to the forum but have made a couple posts. I'm definitely looking for tips, resources, and any advice there is to keep my baby in tip top shape.

Do you have the grill/hood emblem?

For salvage parts (trim, sheet metal, emblems, etc.) I'd suggest this website. http://www.car-part.com/

It links to salvage yards all over the country that either have the part you're looking for or the particular car. I've found that for certain, obscure parts, it's best to locate the yards that have the car you're looking for and call them to ask about a specific part that may not be listed on the inventory. Generally, only major items like doors and bumpers, etc get listed even though a donar car might be complete.
