Hey, I'm here to correct a mistake I've made in my younger years by treating this car so badly due to my youth and ignorance.

A little background. My grandfather purchased the Toronado in 1966 and kept it in a garage most of its life. He then chose to give it to me at the age of 13 (huge mistake) and due to my youth and ignorance, it received poor treatment. I bent the bumper, neglected oil changes, hammered the transmission and installed a sound system (I deserve any unkind words admitting this will incur) let the vacuum system fall apart causing the headlights to no longer work and one of the rear window motors no longer works. I am now much older, much more mechanically inclined and ready to correct my misdeeds. Luck is on my side as it has plastic seat coverings and 68k original miles. This will not be my first engine rebuild, but I am not familiar with carburetors (more like, I detest them). Ill get some more pictures up if requested, but I just want to say HI and to get some input on what my path to correcting my mistake should be.

welcome to the Forum and kudos to you for deciding to restore your car.
Carburetor - contact Greg at sparkyscarbs.com. We had our 66 carb donre 11 years ago and it still works great.

Private message me and I will send you info on a member that rebuilds vaccum canisters, he will be a huge help in getting your headlights working again.
