Basics: Smileys or Emoticons

We'll start with some very basic web chat items. The first is smileys or emoticons. These are used to express feelings in written text. Please see the Wikipedia.org page defines all of the most common ones: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_emoticons
