Olds export cars?

hey guys,
i recently heard that olds had special-export order toronados. really easy to identify since the engine number stamped on the engine ends with E for export. but that guy said its only for 66/67 toronados.
maybe you heard about that and maybe you can tell the difference on 1970 toronados.
I’m a little curious since my car came with the km/h speedometer instead of mph. one guy at classicoldsmobile-forums claims that export cars only have 8.3:1 compression ratio instead of 10.25:1….which would be really bad.
thx in advance
kay

My Toro 68 also has the odometer in Km / H.
I live in Argentina and was imported from 0 Km to the country in 1968.
I did not know that the engines were manufactured with different compression. Is this right? I want to know details about
thanks

Is the color of your 455 engine, blue or green?
At the 2010 Oldsmobile Nationals in Massachettss, there was three 1968 Toronados. The red '68 was from Canada, and remeber seeing the color of the engine was green. I did not check the odometer (if Km/h or M/H) was used.

I don't know about the color of the engine, but I know the first year all Gm in Klms/Hr in Canada was 1978, as Ford. Chrysler Corp : 1977
Richard.

Hello Toro68
The color of my engine is blue.

I've never measured the compression of the engine to know.
regards
