Dawn of a new day:

Progress Update....

All sheet metal and panels reassembled and aligned.

Vehicle is running and mobile.

Final primer has been blocked sanded;

Vehicle is ready for paint

Vehicle loaded on a flat bed and is on it's way to a friends shop where I will paint it...

Back home:

Mission accomplished...

Vehicle sprayed successfully.

Going to let it sit so the paint can fully cure and gas off and release all solvents, then it's time to block sand the clear and polish.

After the laborious job of polishing, it's time to reinstall the glass, interior, bumpers and trim.....

Wow that looks unbelievable
Congratulations
My car is being block sanded as we speak and ready for paint
At the same time the complete interior is being remade
From Sms nos fabric
And all the chrome and stainless is being redone
And probably 10 boxes of new parts ready to go on
Just waiting Dbtires to release there new 800 series tire that looks like poly tire but are radials
And they will but 1/8 white on for me

Nope...

Called my glass guy at Speedy Auto Glass here in Canada. He had it brought in the day after he took the front and back glass out. The old windshield was pitted with a couple bigger star cracks.

Only problem for him is that it was sitting in his store inventory since October 2010! He was a happy guy the day I was finally ready to install!

I'm sure there is a ton around. He mentioned to me that he recently sourced a windshield for 1954 Rolls Royce and another non-run of the mill vehicle....
