Steering wheel colour

I'm restoring 66 toronado
And I'm redoing everything
I know the steering wheel and colum is suppose to be black
But I found this picture on line with a gold toronado
At a car show 1966
The wheel and colum is gold
Kind of like
Any ideas

Maybe you could try a vinyl paint but I have literally now idea how to make a gold color. But this 'gold' color should be metallic or matt? The other option is to put a golden leather on the steering wheel.

For the interior pieces, I would use SEM paint.
