Hahaha!
See, I avoid the handling dilemma by driving within the limits of the stock configuration. I haul ass on the freeway but I'm not interested in doing a slalom on winding secondary roads.
Driving a '56 Coupe DeVille for 14 years as my only car really changed my driving habits. I no longer feel the need to out perform anybody at a stoplight or in the S's.
I have a stack of tickets (accumulated prior to my purchase of the Cadillac) demonstrating my previous nature behind the wheel!

Re: 1969 questions
Just had my drum brakes completely rebuilt with good quality pads. It takes a little time for them to ware in.
Also you need to have your kick down switch working to change the stall setting of the switch pitch to prevent the creep that makes it
harder to brake at idle.
I noticed the difference when I finally got the kick down switch linkage hooked up and set.

if your looking to improve the handling we can offer horizontal and vertical extra heavy duty shocks and springs. Also we offer coil over shocks for the front and rear. Spring ratings on the shocks vary from 450 - 1,100 lbs per pair. mark@shocks2springs.com - 800-344-1966.
