Re: 66 Toro passenger axle pt. 2

Re: 1966 Toronado Parts Car

I don't know if there's anything left of this car. I am looking for a couple of items. One is a good brake pedal. The rubber is fine on mine, but the stainless part is worn through. As far as I'm aware, these are not reproduced. Also, if this car happens to be equipped with cruise control, I need a ...

Re: Front Wheel Bearings

Well, I guess I'll find out soon enough. I did use Kanter's kit for my car -- replaced all suspension bushings and all the bearings. They looked like exact reproductions of the originals. Let's be honest about this. Rock Auto probably uses the same supplier for these items. Neither of those companie...

Re: Front Wheel Bearings

Those don't come apart per se. Order them from Kantor. If you're talking about the entire steering knuckle/front suspension, you'll have to get a service manual or parts book. They are readily available on ebay.

Vacuum Diagram for Comfortron

Hope this may be helpful for those with Comfortron systems. THis is a diagram of the vacuum tubing that is easier to read than that in the service manual. If you see corrections that are needed, please let me know.

Re: Front Wheel Bearings

I think the bearing unit is the same: this is 66-68. They are pressed in -- you need a press to get them out and replace with the new ones.

Re: Decode Data Plate 66 Toro

THose will only be for options for which a hole was punched somewhere on the body to install an option, but no drive train parts. Bodies were built at Euclid, OH, then shipped to Lansing, MI for final assembly. I'll have to try and look these up. I thought I had a number of them figured out. The EXS...
