Thanks. The Cadillac has been my only car since 2001 until I bought the Toronado in February.
And they'll never be sullied by front license plates even if Georgia decides to require them.

Re: Changed plugs n wires today
Are you required to run a front plate where you live? I'm in Georgia and thankfully we only have rear plates. It makes the front ends of old cars that don't have a dedicated place for a plate look so much nicer. I took the mounting bracket off my Toronado. Where on earth would one go on my Cadillac ...

Cool. Did you have the steel wheels chromed? Do you still use the small hubcap and beauty ring?
Are your new tires white walls or black? (or white letter, I suppose)

Re: 1968 W34 Toronado
So do I interpret this to say that a forged crank in any particular car was more or less random? In other words, forged cranks were not made for any specific car or group of cars. Re: Anyone used the Mallory E-Spark conversion kit?
Don't judge points based on that example. Yikes. A well set up vehicle with a fully charged battery, properly working generator, voltage regulator, and condenser will ensure you get good long service from your points. I haven't looked at the points in the Cadillac for about 7 years and I just drove ...

Re: Window rollers
Additionally, check the HELP section at the chain auto parts stores. I've seen various shaped window rollers for sale there. Usually manufactured by Dorman, an OEM manufacturer. I just checked Rock Auto. They have them. Look under Universal Tools and Parts then click on Interior. http://www.rockauto...

Re: Anyone used the Mallory E-Spark conversion kit?
I'm liking the pertronix kit, and will maybe ask for one for Christmas. I LOVE good ole HEI, but I won't give up the factory air cleaner, and I'm trying to keep my 66 looking as factory as possible. Cutly, You can convert your original points distributor to HEI yourself or have this company do it. ...

What turned out to be the problem with your stuck headlight? Was it a leaky or disconnected vacuum line?
