Re: 1967 Toronado decal and rear brake tube

Hi Doc, no I did not get a message. Neither email nor PM. I guess they need a pattern to copy and since yours was stolen that's not possible. I would have thought that part would be in the kit they sell. Here's another good brake parts company. Maybe they can help. http://brakematerialsandparts.webs...

Re: 1966-67 Toronado 425 Engine Paint Code?

That's great. How did you discover that that's the correct color? I wish I could find Cadillac Blue somewhere other than Bill Hirsch or Caddy Daddy. Here's the Olds VHT at O'Reilly. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/VHT2/SP403/N0487.oap?ck=Search_paint+-+engine+enamel_-1_1951&keyword=pain...

Re: 1966-67 Toronado 425 Engine Paint Code?

Order some from Bill Hirsch. It's $18 per rattle can but in my experience with his Cadillac and other colors, it's correct. http://www.hirschauto.com/AEROSOL-ENGINE-ENAMEL/productinfo/EEA-SPRAY/ Fusick sells it for $18.50 per rattle can (plus shipping). He calls it Slate Blue. https://www.fusickauto...

Regarding the door pull, every GM line had some version of that for many years. Perhaps Year One has something that would work.

Re: 66 Toro driver's side rubber floor mat, tail light fillers & door pull

I did a quick search of McMaster-Carr's website and found this rubber mat. A 24"x48" piece is only $26.00

Re: 66 Toro driver's side rubber floor mat, tail light fillers & door pull

Here's a link to a recently restored '66 with new rubber mat. The first photo is my original car. Notice the orientation of lands and grooves in the rubber. I think the restorer should have placed the rubber in such a way as to mimic the factory installation instead of installing it 90* off. http://...

Re: 66 Toro driver's side rubber floor mat, tail light fillers & door pull

1. The floor mat is not reproduced but a reasonable facsimile is available. It won't have the perimeter outline but will look good enogh to pass. There is a picture of it on this site. I'll try to find it. I don't know the source but I think you might find it at a company like Mcmaster-Carr. 2. I ma...

Re: 1967 Toronado Fuel Tank

I have had good service from the fuel tank sloshing compound sold by Eastwood. My dad did my mom's 1964 Galaxie 500 tank in 2000 and it's been perfect ever since. There was a pinhole leak that has not leaked a drop after the tank was done. My '56 Cadillac was done in 2007 or so and it's fine, too. B...
