I very much like the wider stance up front. No noticeable effects on torque steer or braking.

Re: Eldorado brake calipers
Question to Bruce and all: I'm pondering a front disc brake conversion on my '67 Deluxe but really hate the idea of having to swap wheels because of the clearance requirements of the discs/calipers vs. the original drums (and I have two sets of chrome drum wheels I don't want to give up). My local ...

Re: Comfortron
The power servo is mounted on the heater box, near the wiper motor. It controls the whole system based on a variable vacuum input: Blend door (temp control), fan speed and mode door (air going to the feet or the front vents). This way - assuming the rest of the system is reasonably intact- you can get the basic functionality of the system, from full heat to full A/C, but manually. https://www.mcmaster.c...

Re: German imported -66 headlight problem
Most of the vacuum hoses you see are from the Confortron (The A/C / heater system). The headlight plumbing is fairly simple. IIRC, one vacuum line going into the switch, two going out before being split into the two headlights canisters.
Good luck!

Re: 455 longevity
A well maintained and tuned 455 will last a very long time.

Re: Hello from Germany!
When I was at the vintage auto races at Road Atlanta, some guy took a bunch of photos of me driving around and put them on a website. A friend of mine just came across them by accident. The author obviously didn't know anything about Toronados but his pictures are good. http://www.car-revs-daily.co...
