Re: Remove Dash Cluster
Hi Brian, I have done some work under the dash -- you are correct the lack of the transmission hump makes it easier but still you are inverted and under a dash so there are more pleasant activities in my book. That said, you may want to consider upgrading the clock while the dash is undone. I had mi...

Dual Master for 66 Toro
My thinking is rather than go through all the effort of a disk conversion for my 66 Toro I would feel safer by just replacing the single reservoir master with a dual master -- and keep the drums all around. My question is: Can I get a 67-69 dual master, add a proportioning value and be done with it?...

Re: Secondaries Not Opening (I think)
I fixed it with a new choke pull off -- that is the white plastic disk on the choke side of the carb.
$10 part from ebay -- now the secondaries work -- I got a lot of good info from quadrajet youtube videos btw.

Re: Secondaries Not Opening (I think)
To provide an update -- watched some good youtube videos on quadrajets. Here is what is happening. 1. the lower secondaries butterfly was opening -- which are mechanical. 2. I think my choke pull off is bad. I disconnected the vacuum line to the choke pull off and put a golf tee in the hose -- then ...

Secondaries Not Opening (I think)
Hi, I have a 66 Toronado -- had the carb rebuilt by Sparky about 10 years ago but the car has only about 1000 miles on it since the rebuild. I had it out today with a friend and asked him if he thought the secondaries were opening -- he said definitely not. Engine was warmed up -- was a hot day -- a...

Re: 66 Toro Eyebrows -- Black or Chrome?
How difficult is it to has this single eyebrow piece have three finishes on it: 1) the body color around the edging 2) the chrome highlight 3) the mat black on the inner part of the eyebrow I was fortunate to get a spare set of eyebrows on ebay -- they appear to be all chrome. So the question is -- ...

Is the Qjet leaking? Hard to start after three days
I noticed on my 66 Toro when it sits for three days it takes at least three very long cranks to start. Once started and warmed up all subsequent starts for that day are fine. I had the carb rebuild about ten years ago -- but that is only about 500 miles ago. I looked to see if the carb squirted afte...

66 Toro Eyebrows -- Black or Chrome?
Hello, I just joined the group last week and attended the Denver meet up which I found very helpful and enjoyable -- thank you Mike for arranging it. It was during the Meet Up I was informed that the eyebrows on my 66 are not correct -- currently they are painted the same color as the entire car -- ...
