Re: Multipoint EFI for my 1969 Restomod.
I first got into Toronados in the early 80s, I had a 1968 W-34 with the console shifter. I would kill for that now... well, the console shifter and maybe the trans, but the car was junk after existing only 11 years as I lived in New England at the time This one I purchased in 2010 out here in the Se...

Re: 1st Generation Toronado Steering Box
I recall it being in the $300 or so range, which I felt well worth it given how tight and smooth it is.

Re: 1st Generation Toronado Steering Box
It might be a bit late, but I had my Box rebuilt by Redhead here in Seattle and it is fantastic. So tight the slightest turn results in a change in direction, exactly as I requested. I wanted as close to a Rack and Pinion as possible, and they sure did deliver.

Re: Multipoint EFI for my 1969 Restomod.
I hear you. I have now been through three EFI efforts, each of which runs around $4,000 to $5,000 when all is said and done. I have also built the Motor twice, so I guess it all fits under the Money Pit heading... If it works this time, and I have every reason to think it will - and it is what I wan...

Re: Multipoint EFI for my 1969 Restomod.
I am using, as noted in my OP but apparently not very clearly, the RPM Aluminum Toronado Intake. I will be welding in the bungs that come with the kit - I originally planned to use the Bosses cast into the Manifold, but they are vertically oriented and I need to angle the injectors at 30 from Vertic...

Multipoint EFI for my 1969 Restomod.
Hi All, I am in the process of installing the HP EFI Universal Kit on my 1969. I had tried the MSD Atomic EFI and the Holley Sniper EFI, both which are Throttle Body Injection intended to directly replace the Carb. What I found is that the MSD did not seem to have good low speed performance after st...

Re: octane for 425
I found that modern Aluminum Heads allow me to run on the 92 Octane I can get up here in WA State. I want to add the Water Injection to allow more timing advance which would pull more power out, but I have to convert to MultiPoint Fuel Injection first.

Re: octane for 425
If you have a stock engine, you need to consider the valves. If they have been modified for Unleaded, which by now one would hope that it has, then it is down to Octane. If not, you have to use an additive designed for lead replacement. I doubt you can run that motor on 89 Octane if it is stock (10....
